Heartseed is run by Charlotte Wears; a qualified and experienced therapist and supervisor, with a master’s degree in counselling and a post-graduate diploma in supervision. Heartseed holds to the ethical frameworks of both the BACP and ACC. Charlotte is an accredited member of the BACP and a registered member of the ACC with considerable experience working with young people in schools and in an agency with adults.
Heartseed is a private counselling and psychotherapy practice working with all ages from 4 years upwards and with a wide range of issues. Areas of particular specialism include: self-harm, anxiety, bereavement, eating disorders, living with chronic illness, narcissistic abuse, and working creatively. Charlotte is a specialist youth therapist with seventeen years of experience working with young people.

Heartseed’s approach is person-centred and integrative, providing the flexibility to draw from a range of clinical modalities, including:

Heartseed Supervision practice includes student practitioners, qualified counsellors and people who work in pastoral roles. Charlotte has worked as a University lecturer and tutor on counselling degree courses and has written and run a number of courses. The Skills and Competences for Counselling Children and Young People course is mapped to the BACP competences for counsellors who wish to begin working with young people, and has been accredited by the ACC.
Charlotte also has a paper published in an academic peer-reviewed journal.
